Used Booksale
The used booksale hours are Friday, May 27th 6pm-8pm and Saturday, May 28th 9am-2pm
To sell your books drop them off at CUMC on Friday, May 27th from 9am-1pm
Our used
booksale will be put on by The Wise Owl, which is South Alabama Homeschool
Academy's used bookstore.
Our used
booksale will be on consignment basis. The consignment charge is 40% of the sale
price, that means you keep 60%. This beats any online consignment store or any
retail store. Not to mention that we will have 1000-1200 homeschoolers passing
through the day of the sale.

If we do
not have a form turned in we can not take your items.
Label
your items
On a 3x5
index card (preferred) please put the following..

ex:MCL8490 )
Name of
the item (publisher or brand)
Grade
Level (ex: 1st grade)

*on the
back please put the lowest price you will take (this allows us to check in case
someone wants to pay $50 instead of $55, which could be the difference in the
item selling or not)
If
possible put your items in a ziplock bag with the card showing on the front, if
they can not fit in a bag tape it on the front. Please make sure that we can
take the card off as this is how we know what sells. If you have multiple items
that go together please rubber band them together, if they can not go in a
ziplock bag.
Drop
off the items
Main drop
off time is FRIDAY, MAY 27th from 9am-1pm in the gym at CUMC.
Receiving your money
After the
sale we will send out checks to each person for their items sold, minus the 40%
fee.
Collecting unsold items
All
unsold items will be put into The Wise Owl bookstore, which is run by SAHA.
Since the form filled out allows items to be sold in the bookstore you will have
a full 6 months to sell your materials. You may pick them up at anytime if you
wish to take them off of consignment.
