Course Listing

Below are the scheduled Make ‘n Take courses during the convention. Attendees will learn how to create cool Halloween items to use in October, or make items similar to ones you see in stores or in commercial Haunted Houses. You will have the opportunity to bring home the creepy creations you made that day.

The tickets are available to purchase on Haunt Pay only if you have purchased your event ticket (combo, one-day, or two-day). There are only 10 spots for each of these courses, and once those spots are gone, they’re gone! If, by chance, there are still tickets available during the convention, these will need to be bought online before the beginning of the course.

Please Note: You must purchase a 2-Day or 1-Day pass to attend Make & Take Courses

Silicone Wound Molds – $55

Sunday, July 15, 2018, 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Instructor – Michael Burnett

With the introduction of skin-safe silicone prosthetic materials in recent years, creating prosthetic makeup effects has become much easier. Unlike foam latex, silicone does not need to be baked in an oven, as will cure at room temperature very quickly. With the use of flat prosthetic plate molds, many prosthetics can be produced in a short amount of time. In this 60-minute workshop, Special Makeup Effects artists Michael and Lynne Burnett will show you how to cast prosthetics from a mold, apply the prosthetic and finish with colors* for a realistic effect. Class fee includes silicone material and instruction, plus a plate mold of generic wound prosthetics for you to take with you at the end of the class. (*If you have your own makeup kit, please bring it!)
